It sounds crazy, but homemade banana “ice cream” is so delicious that it’s worthy of its own blog post!

I love bananas! They’re a sweet, healthy and natural “fast food” that provides just the right dose of several important vitamins and minerals. Bananas are particularly rich in vitamin B6, which is important for brain health, proper metabolic function and immune system regulation.  These scrumptious yellow treats also contain fiber, potassium and vitamin C.

Due to their creamy texture, amazing digestive support and unique nutrient profile, bananas are a favorite fruit for babies, the elderly and endurance athletes. They even make monkeys smile. It doesn’t get any better than that!

The next time you’re in the mood for something cold, creamy and creative, try my banana ice cream recipe.  If you’re feeling adventurous add some nuts, organic chocolate chips or almond butter.  Banana ice cream will definitely satisfy your sweet tooth and your monkey brain!  Until next time, make every bite count!
